Richard inspires the company’s strategy, and assists with acquisitions and day-to-day operations through his rich experience, wealth of information and network.
His experience as a real estate developer and property owner spans decades, primarily in the multi-family arena in the West Coast of the United States.
Over the past four decades, Richard has sponsored, developed, operated and financed thousands of residential units, many of which he continues to own as part of his own private family portfolio.
Richard is a Holocaust orphan, self-made, highly successful businessman not only in real estate but also as a venture investor in several retail and telecommunication businesses.
Over 80 years old, Richard is a tireless businessman and avid pilot circumventing the globe in his own plane and a committed volunteer to The Parasol Foundation Trust of Gibraltar for which his daughter, Ruth Parasol, is a principal benefactress.
Richard holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Healds Engineering College, and performed post-graduate work at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).
Since the inception of Rivendell in 2014, Yonatan has lead the company in its strategy, execution, long-term goals, growth and day-to-day operations.
Yonatan ensures that Rivendell meets its long-term goals, through successful execution of deals loyal to its values.
Prior to joining Rivendell, Yonatan was a Director of Business Development at Dream Global REIT, the international investment platform of Dream Unlimited, a fully diversified Canadian real estate investment and asset management firm with $15 billion AUM.
Yonatan joined Dream Global REIT in 2011 and helped build the company’s portfolio from owning $1 billion in assets to $3 billion in assets by 2014.
Before Dream, Yonatan was a Vice President of Business Development for a small market cap investment firm, and also spent several years as an M&A advisor.
Yonatan earned a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University, and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Gary serves on Rivendell’s Board of Directors, is an active real estate investor and has been a member of several boards of directors.
After having spent most of his career as an international tax lawyer, and most recently as a partner at the global law firm Sidley Austin LLP, Gary joined The Kazimir Group, a private investment firm, where he co-managed Kazimir’s largest investment, Rendeavour Holding Limited, the leading sub-Saharan Africa urban development company.
Gary currently manages Excellent Capital LLC, an active equity and debt family office investor in residential and commercial real property.
Gary taught as an adjunct Professor of Law in the Graduate Tax Program at New York University School of Law, and guest lectured at Stanford Law School and the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Gary earned a B.A. from the University of Florida, J.D. from the University of Michigan, an LL.M. (Taxation) from New York University, and an MPA degree from Harvard University.
